The Tech Behind The Tan! 

Hi! I’m so glad you’re here!

My name is Kylie Washa-James. I’m a mom of three sweet little girls, my husband and I met in 2016, and I have a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from UNT.
After graduation I jumped into the corporate end of the private security world- but I didn’t love what I was doing.
During that time, as a break from the corporate day to day, I started doing some less than part time front end office work for a large spray tan business in Frisco in exchange for free tans! I’ve always loved having a good spray tan on! 

In July of 2019, the owner of that studio needed someone to step in and start spray tanning so I was trained! The step in was only supposed to be for about 2 weeks, I ended up continuing to spray for that studio- both mobile and in studio, until March 2021 when I decided to stay home full time with my then 3 year old and was pregnant with our second.
I fell in love with being on the other side of a tan and I had an amazing teacher/mentor who was just as passionate about tans which only made the passion in me grow! 

While I loved the studio in Frisco, it just became too far of a drive for me to get tanned. But, when I looked for a closer studio in Melissa I struggled to find one up to my standards as a previous tech. That was when I decided what Melissa needed was me. And that’s how Always Sunny Spray Tans was born. I spent months searching for the best solution I could offer. Tried them on myself, my neighbors, even my husband!
